From the minute our raw organic soya beans enter the factory to the second they exit as delicious soya and Tofu products their impact on the environment is now almost negligible and our carbon footprint entirely neutral.

This has been achieved principally through good housekeeping at our Belgian factory and partly through carbon offsetting.

For example we use solar and wind power to help generate renewable energy to provide us with power. And since we also hate wasting waste, even our ‘spent’ soya beans are put to productive use generating bio-gas which in turn is used to power our manufacturing plant.

A small and diminishing part of our carbon neutrality is (and may always have to be) achieved by carbon offsetting.

This however is under constant review by a dedicated Provamel team supported by external consultants to ensure that only emissions that are completely unavoidable are offset and everything conceivable is done to keep these to the absolute and bare minimum.
