In our minds, the answer to many of the critical issues that face the world really does lie in the soil. And in a form of cultivation that naturally protects its health and fertility and that of the landscape, the environment and the wildlife that lives in it.
And furthermore that it’s a simple and fundamental human right of all of us to be able to choose between food that owes its existence to a natural and sustainable system of farming rather than one that is dependent on unnatural chemicals and pushing land and soil to its absolute limits.
We are in other words passionate believers in organic production and farming that’s free from artificial fertilizers, chemical pesticides and genetic modification in any way, shape or form.
*Unfortunately in a couple of cases it has not been possible to offer a 100% organic product without effecting the high standards you have come to expect from us. For example in order for us to add calcium into two of our soya milks we tried using the only known organic alternative, a calcium rich sea algae, but the products turn a murky green. Instead we chose to add a conventional calcium knowing this would automatically disqualify the product from being classed as organic but wouldn't effect the quality or taste you have come to expect of Provamel. It is only in extreme cases that we have decided to make this decision and want to assure you that the vast majority of our products are organic and without exception all are made from only100% organic, Non GM soya beans. The products that are effected and as a result do not carry the organic mark are:
