Not surprisingly, our mission is to get the whole world eating and enjoying soya – one of the most nutritious plant based foods around. Although our reasoning is not quite as straightforward or as self interested as you might at first think.

Soya is naturally low in saturated fat, naturally high in plant based protein and has other benefits that make it naturally good for you.

However just as critically it is also provenly better for the planet.

The expert view is that animal based products create five times more CO2 per litre than soya milk, while meat production generates 10 times more per kilo than tofu, the soya meat replacement.

In simple terms this means that five times as many people can be fed from a hectare of land where soya is grown than one used for animal protein production.

Given the many challenges our planet faces such as global warming and food shortages it’s difficult not to see soya as the food of the future.
