An allergy occurs when the body’s defence system reacts to a substance that is in fact not normally dangerous – for instance, if someone inhales pollen from flowers and plants or if someone eats peanuts.
With cows’ milk protein allergy, the body’s defence mechanism reacts to the protein found in cows’ milk and therefore all dairy products. This most frequently occurs amongst children with symptoms ranging from stomach cramp, vomiting or diarrhoea to problems with the respiratory tract or the skin.
Since Provamel is plant/soya based and as a result dairy free, all Provamel products are completely free of cows’ milk protein.
