Who knows?
Provamel is participating in a large-scale project to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions. In our factory in Wevelgem (Belgium) we’re already producing green electricity and steam from biogas, generated by anaerobic wastewater treatment.
What’s more, we have promised ourselves to become a completely CO2-neutral factory by 2020. This is not as simple as it might seem, as ultra-heat treatment (the partial sterilization of food by heating it for a short time at a very high temperature) is part of our production process.But we like challenges, so we’ll do anything in our power to achieve this environmentally important goal.
