The seal
The fingers in the logo symbolize the three related powers of IBD EcoSocial: product quality, ecological quality and quality of life for all people involved in the production process. The wavy arm symbolizes continuous improvement. The total picture represents simultaneously a human arm as well as a tree. This illustrates that improved socio-economical conditions and preservation of the environment go hand in hand.
Inspection and labelling
Every organisation is annually inspected by IBD, a Brazilian Certifier, or by another independent certification body that executes the EcoSocial certification for IBD.
