Provamel supports, in close co-operation with farmers and workers, the following projects:
Brazil:
Provamel is supplying Brazilian farmers with specially adapted agricultural machines. Since family businesses often cannot afford to buy new agricultural machines themselves they are forced to borrow them from larger local farms which are not always suited to small fields. By providing small farmers with their own machinery small family businesses retain their independence.With support from Provamel, working conditions are being upgraded for soya bean farmers along with improvements in sanitation and drinking water. There is also a project to create special forest reserves.
China:
With support from Provamel, a secondary school is being financed, roads are being built, machinery purchased and transport conditions are being improved.
